HFANOTHER SUCCESSFUL HARVEST FEAST
Our annual Harvest Feast was a great success again this year - even the weather cooperated!

As in previous years, the senior students eagerly organized many games and activities and once again, did an amazing job!  It was wonderful to see so many current and former families and alumni come together and show us once again the magic of the OMS community.

It goes without saying that none of this would be possible without the tireless dedication and volunteerism we have in our school and community.  A special thank you is sent to all parent, student and staff volunteers who contributed to such a successful and memorable evening.

SpeedAN OMS PARENT COMPLAINS
An OMS parent who is also a neighbour of our school has received reports from others in the neighbourhood regarding the speed at which some of our OMS families are driving.

Parent drivers can contribute to dangerous traffic conditions if they are not following safe driving habits around the school and neighbourhood affecting their own children, neighbourhood children and others arriving and leaving OMS.  To establish a safer traffic environment parents and guardians should follow safe driving practices at all times.

"Activity Based Learning, Enriched Environments and Higher Order Cognitive Functions: Maria Montessori as Developmental Neuroscientist" by Dr. Steven J. Hughes, PhD, LP, ABPdN and Assistant Professor of Pediatrics and Neurology at University of Minnesota Medical School.
