The Toddler Program has been designed specifically to meet the needs, natural curiosity, and interests of children from 18 months to three years of age. We offer a stimulating learning environment, which promotes cognitive and gross motor development, the development of the senses, language, eye-hand co–ordination, independence and self–esteem. Many opportunities for self–expression through music and arts and crafts are offered.
The Program is being conducted by a Montessori directress with special qualifications for the Toddler level. Dr. Montessori called the toddler environment “Casa dei Bambini”—a house for little children. The environment is as home–like as we can make it with sinks and toilets, shelves and activities all at the right height to foster independence and self–reliance. The specialized activities are designed to stimulate the Toddler and to aid the process of development.
