Supervision Coordinator
Criteria
Start Date: August 30, 2010
Hours of Work: 8 to 8:45 a.m. and 3:45 to 4:30 p.m. or 3:45 to 5:30 p.m.
Salary: Hourly, based on experience
Direct Report: School Director
Requirements: Ability to work with children and manage a team. Supervision Coordinator must be punctual and provide good public relations with parents and staff. Bilingualism an asset but is not required. A police check (vulnerable sector) is required.
Job Description: As Supervision Coordinator you are responsible to oversee the supervision program from Monday to Friday and on Parent-Teacher Conference days. You will be in charge of staffing, (including finding a substitute if someone is absent) as well as scheduling and approving timesheets. The Supervision Coordinator will also ensure that supervision staff understand and comply with Ottawa Montessori School's policies and procedures (i.e. Behavior Management.) Light cleaning of toys and supervision room is also required by you and your staff.

After School Assistant
Criteria
Start Date: Immediate
Hours of Work: Monday to Friday, 4:00 to 5:30 p.m.
Requirements: Ability to work with children and a team, 16 years of age or older.
A police check (vulnerable sector) is essential. Bilingualism an asset but is not required.
Direct Report: Afternoon Assistant.
Job Description: Assist in the preparation and maintenance of the prepared
Montessori environment as directed. Assist with the supervision of children and oversee the departure of the children.
Any other duties as requested by the afternoon assistant.
Note: Interaction with children is limited.
Class Substitutes
We are looking for individuals to work with children from ages 18 months to 14 years. Occasional daytime work Monday to Friday. Experience with children preferred, bilingualism would be an asset.
